Join us Wednesday, September 6, 2022 at 1:30pm for our monthly Senior Wednesday. This month our topic is "Celestial Omens:  How the Ancients Regarded Astronomical Events" presented by MOWT Education Manager Brad Nuest. This talk will delve into astronomical phenomena such as the appearance of comets, lunar and solar eclipses and more.  While we understand these occurrences today, ancient cultures ascribed to them supernatural significance, often foretelling dire events, such the death of a king or a famine.

About Brad Nuest

Brad Nuest has been the Education Manager at the Museum of World Treasures for nearly 3 years.  He is a long-time amateur astronomer and museum educator, having formerly directed the Education programs at the Cosmosphere.  He was given numerous presentations and written articles on the topics of history, space and astronomy.
